about dan

Dan Mackenzie is a musical jack of all trades.

Spanning nearly two decades in the industry, Mackenzie spent time honing his craft in places like Vancouver, Redding, and Los Angeles before finally settling down in Nashville. Mackenzie’s roster includes playing for artists like Lennon Stella and the Broadway cast of Hamilton, while producing for nostalgic names like Gungor and Matt Maher.

His own project “Smokehouse” co-created with long-time friend and collaborator Peter Mol, is an evocative mix of the fresh and familiar. Mackenzie and Mol’s musical influences are layered—from J.Dilla to Anderson Pack to Bombay Bicycle Club.

From production, mixing, sound engineering, composing or just sitting down to map out the early stages of a song idea, Dan is tuned in to Nashville’s music scene with the experience and network needed to get your project on its way to something beautiful.
